Key / Legend
Bend Length (mm): Length of the bend line (per bend). Longer lengths increase required force.
Bend Angle (°): Angle of the bend measured on the inside (0–180°). Affects bend allowance and springback.
Required Force / Tonnage: Calculated bending force shown as kN and approximate metric tonnes (tonne-force). This is the estimated press capacity needed for the entered parameters.
Bend Allowance (BA) (mm): The length of material consumed by the bend along the neutral axis — used to calculate flat pattern length.
Bend Deduction (BD) (mm): Value used to convert from flange lengths to flat length: BD = 2×(t + R) − BA.
Recommended V-Die Size (mm): Suggested die width based on thickness and bending use-case.
