Slat Saver
Dross and Slag Reducing Spray
Protect your laser cutting machine slats and minimise cleanup time with Slat Saver – a specially formulated spray that reduces the buildup of slag, dross, and spatter during the cutting process. By creating a barrier between molten metal and the slats, Slat Saver helps prevent adherence, making it easier to clean the cutting bed and reducing unplanned downtime. Suitable for use with both ferrous and non-ferrous materials, it’s an essential maintenance product for improving laser cutting efficiency and extending the life of your slats.

Developed to reduce the buildup of slag and dross generated as part of the cutting process, making cutting bed cleaning quicker and easier, and reducing machine downtime.

Non-flammable and non-aerosol making it safer to apply in workshop settings.

Reduces the occurrence of spatter to the underside of the material, reducing time required for finishing the cut item.

Will provide 2 to 3 times the common usable life of slats when included as part of a regular maintenance program.

Water-based, leaving no residue to interfere with further production processes such as galvanizing, welding, priming or painting.

Equally suited to new or cleaned copper and steel slats making Slat Saver ideal for almost any application.
HOW TO USE SLAT SAVER
CUTTING BED SLATS:
For best results remove slag and dross build up from slats before application using a wire brush or a Slat Cleaning Machine before applying Slat Saver. For best results, we highly recommend using Slat Saver with a Slat Cleaning Machine on a weekly basis (depending on production volume).
Using a portable tank sprayer: Liberally spray Slat Saver to the surface of each slat. Hold the spray nozzle approximately 30cm from the surface, ensuring all areas of the slat are coated.
Using a roller or brush: Apply Slat Saver to both vertical surfaces of the slat, ensuring all areas are coated.
Approx. 1L of Slat Saver is required for a 3m x 1.5m table
MATERIAL BEING CUT:
Apply Slat Saver in the same manner as above to provide additional protection to the underside of the material. To remove Slat Saver from the protected material after the cutting process simply clean the surface with a suitable detergent or solvent cleaner.
