Introducing the HSG GT Series: High-Speed Sheet Metal Cutting from HSG Laser

Laser Machines is pleased to introduce the HSG Laser GT Series, a new high-speed sheet metal cutting machine now available as part of our range of HSG laser cutting solutions.

Designed around high-speed, high-stability processing, the GT Series combines 2.0 G maximum acceleration, up to 200 m/min linkage speed and 8 Hz low-pass filtering to deliver fast, stable cutting performance. HSG describes the GT as its “All-New High-Speed Sheet Metal Cutting Machine”, with a focus on improving processing efficiency while maintaining accuracy during high-speed operation.

For manufacturers looking to increase sheet metal cutting productivity, the GT Series offers a new option within the HSG range.

Built for High-Speed Cutting

The GT Series has been designed around a simple objective: cut faster without sacrificing stability and precision.

At the heart of the machine's performance is its high-speed dynamic combination, with a maximum acceleration of 2.0 G and a maximum linkage speed of 200 m/min. HSG pairs this with an 8 Hz low-pass filtering system, designed to help maintain consistent processing accuracy during long-term, high-speed dynamic operation.

For production environments where cutting speed and throughput are important, these characteristics are designed to help reduce processing times and increase hourly output.

2.0 G Acceleration + 8 Hz Low-Pass Filtering

High-speed cutting isn't simply about achieving a high maximum speed. The machine needs to control its movement accurately while accelerating, changing direction and navigating complex cutting paths.

The GT Series combines 2.0 G maximum acceleration with 8 Hz low-pass filtering to provide fast dynamic movement while maintaining stability. This combination allows the GT to maintain consistent processing accuracy during long-term high-speed operation.

This is particularly relevant when cutting parts with complex shapes, where frequent changes in direction and movement are required.

Precision Cutting at High Speed

The GT Series isn't designed to focus on speed alone. Its chassis and bed structure have also been developed to support precision during high-speed operation.

An integrated gear reduction system provides controlled movement, while HSG's high-rigidity chassis structure and fully annealed bed frame are designed to resist heat and deformation. The machine also incorporates triple-row anchoring and densely clamped guide rails to increase chassis rigidity.

For manufacturers processing complex parts, this focus on stability is important. The GT's precision cutting system is designed to allow complex parts to be cut in a single pass, helping reduce rework, polishing and material waste.

GT Series Models and Specifications

The GT Series is currently available in four configurations, covering different sheet cutting areas.

New Option for Australian Manufacturers

The addition of the GT Series expands the range of HSG sheet laser cutting machines available through Laser Machines.

With four cutting-area options and laser powers from 3–12 kW, the series provides configurations for manufacturers with different sheet processing requirements.

For businesses looking to increase production output, reduce processing times or upgrade an existing sheet laser cutting machine, the GT Series provides a high-speed option to consider.

As an HSG Laser supplier, Laser Machines can also provide local support for customers purchasing HSG equipment, including machine installation, servicing, spare parts and consumables.
